Recently, he was quoted saying that “Two years ago he gave me his shirt, but one day he will ask for mine.” He referred to Cristiano Ronaldo’s generous gift a couple of years back.

When asked who he thout was the world’s best footballer, Mario Balotelli responded that it was Messi. It’s seems taht Mario Balotelli isn’t a huge Cristiano Ronaldo fan, but whether he’ll be as good or even half as good as Manchester’s Ronaldo is still to be seen. We wish him all the best, but frankly, we haven’t seen any indication that he’s anywhere near reaching the accolades that Cristiano Ronaldo has.

Nike is well aware that Cristiano Ronaldo is not jsut a superstar on the pitch, but he is also one off the pitch, attracting a plethora of Paparazzi and fans wherever he goes. Cristiano Ronaldo’s popularity transcends geographic boundaries, demographics and the sport of football itself, making him one of the world’s most identifiable celebrities. Cristiano’s aura of sex appeal is unquestionable, his presence and physique attract attention, making him a favorite with men and women alike.  Even in North America, where soccer is a relatively small and unknown sport, Cristiano is highly identifiable and sought after.

If this new contract with Nike is signed, this may also end the long debate on whether Cristiano will stay at Manchester or move to Real Madrid, due to Madrid’s contract with Nike competitor Adidas.
