It appears that Crsitiano Ronaldo is finally going to be moving to Real Madrid, and we couldn’t be happier. The Spanish giants seemed to have broke the bank as they announced that Manchester had accepted their offer for the world’s best footballer. This comes off the heals of another super signing, that of Ricardo Kaka for a whopping $94 million, it seems that the people of Madrid may have to brush up on their Portuguese for a change.

The $130 million signing for Cristiano Ronaldo will be the biggest sum ever paid for a professional football player, and he’s worth every penny. Outside of Manchester, it doesn’t seem that Cristiano Ronaldo will be much missed, considering he’s almost single handedly destroyed his opponents, and nobody likes to be made to look like a fool, especially beer bellied non Manchester supporters.

The truth is, althoughmany would like to deny it, this may officially mark the end of the Premier League as the league to watch. Undoubtedly, Real will make up most of its money spent on Ronaldo and Kaka via endorsements and T.V. rights, especially considering the South American market and love for football. But this isn’t such a bad thing, after all, Cristiano Ronaldo was not a loved man, and in fact hated by envious non Manchester fans, whom having nothing else betterto do with their time, spend it ridiculing the Portuguese Football Maestro.

We wish Cristiano Ronaldo all the best success at Real Madrid, and may he finally be treated with the respect that was lacking in the U.K.
